The Calix Society is a great organization for Catholics who are in 12-Step programs. Those that aren’t Catholic are more than welcome, too! You can learn all about Calix at the international website: www.calixsociety.org
In the Archdiocese of Philadelphia we currently have 5 Calix Units:
Grays Ferry/South Philadelphia: We meet every Tuesday in the Matt Talbot Chapel at the corner of 29th and Dickinson Sts. We begin at 6:00 PM with a short adoration period followed by Mass and then our Calix meeting at 7:00 PM. On the 3rd Tuesday of the month we go over to St. Gabriel Church beginning at 6:00 with a Holy Hour followed by Mass at 7:00 PM. Confessions are heard during Holy Hour. All are welcome!
Unit at Queen of the Universe in Levittown meets on the 1st & 3rd Thursday’s of the month at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center.
The Glenside unit at St. Luke the Evangelist meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month . We join the parish for 8:30 AM Mass followed by a Calix meeting.
The unit at the Malvern Retreat House meets on the 3rd Sunday of the month. There will be 4:00 Mass in St. Joseph’s hall followed by refreshments and then a meeting.
Unit at St. Francis of Assisi in Springfield meets on the last Saturday of the month beginning with the 4:00 Vigil Mass followed by a Calix meeting.
In nearby Wilmington, DE there is a Calix unit that meets at St. Matthew’s every Wednesday for 6:15 PM Mass followed by a Calix meeting.
